Metropolitan

Life in the metro,

as the train lights come and go,

leaning our heads low.

Living nine to fives

for the rest of our lives,

until death arrives.

Is there more to this

life of that we reminisce

in ignorant bliss?

Yes, no, maybe so,

but the only way to know

is if we just go.

So go live that dream

so our souls start to gleam

with the beam of hope.
