Mia
I am the best tasting words your body can pronounce,
I come from where the soil is hot on your feet and
where the dryness propels you to eat cold popsicles.
I once belonged to sadness and shame,
but now I belong to the earth and her selflessness.
My sisters came from love I am not apart of.
I feel solus and admired all at the same time.
I hold love within myself for all the unvalued creatures,
their hearts are plastered with gold.
I am truly happy in the moments
I recognize the power I posses.
I mostly need authentic love but sometimes
I need authentic salsa with homemade torilla chips.
I give my body to the earth and my name to the wind
and my mind to whoever needs it.
I fear the worst for the earth but even worse for the children.
I enjoy the sun and the sickness of plane rides.
I like to wear nothing on my feet,
the darkest of shades on my brows and
patchouli on my underarms.
I am Mia, the best tasting words your body can pronounce.
