Midas' Golden Touch

A mere simple touch gives all

life was that easy for him

He basks in his parents' great hall

Only surrounds him! with no other limb

"I want this ball!" he spoke

cursing it with his greedy touch

"I also want this cloak"

He goes on with his potent clutch

Parents were beyond a doubt

Such a thing won't hurt their pocket

Unaware that a thing soon will sprout

From their child, hidden in his closet
