In the middle
I’m technically single but my
Heart is taken by someone I can’t
Call my own.
And I try not to think about him
But it’s not working.
Cause when I’m with him,
I feel safe from the things
That hurt me inside.
I didn’t mean to fall in love
But he made it so easy.
I guess it’s no surprise
That I got lost
In his brown eyes.
I wish he could see
The effect he has on me
How he makes my heart skip a beat
And when I'm near him I feel complete.
I think about him every day
I plan out exactly what to say
I want to tell you him I feel
But the voice inside make me hush
He doesn’t even know, he has no clue
Just how much I think of him
And I try not to stare, I try not to hide
So I keep it down inside my heart
Hoping that nothing falls apart
Wherever he goes, my heart will follow
I hope my heart will never be broken
All because of my love unspoken.
One day I meet someone
And for some inexplicable reason,
I feel connected to him this stranger more than anyone else.
When he came into my life
He changed everything
Raised my standards, and even though
I’m not with him, I don’t want to let him go.
There’s something about him
That I can’t put into words
All I know is that, everybody has an addiction,
Mine just happens to be him
And now that he’s here
I can never
Replace him.
