In the Middle

Middle of the year Leaving school All wanted to stay, Emotion they showed. They would not let go. But by the end of the day, There is no longer a word. For mom must go. We shall return Remembering you all The gifts you gave, Warmed the young broken heart. For having to leave, School that day, Was the hardest thing.
