in the middle of it
in the middle of it all
I fell in love with your simplicity
you're the one who broke my fall
you're the one who captivated me
and it wasn't really your intention
you are my favorite intervention
you are the calm without the storm
you make me feel safe and warm
I'm not sure if this is what it seems
you felt more like a dreamyou are my safest place
you have the sweetest faceyour tracks are something I can't trace
so I'll keep you just in case
you're the cure to my despairbut you're not aware
I can see you everywhereyou're an answer to my prayer
I could never go back to who I was before
you sweep my feet away yet keep it grounded on the floor
you fill my mouth with words that I could never speak
you fill me up with strength but make my knees go weak
