middle of the night//awake next to you

being awake when youre asleep i think of all the things you dont know should i tell you i love you or leave you to your slumbered bliss you dont stir when wind blows past or even when my breath catches on your neck as i lower my lips to kiss you i trace my fingers around your head alive with dreams fingers twirling through your hair and down your back and i place my hand on your chest to feel your steady heartbeat thum thump thum thump my mind is filled with wonderings but mostly it is filled with you gently breathing eyes closed gorgeous and thats what i think of when i lay down beside you and go back to sleep
