Midnight

Thoughts I feel and wish to see

clarity of the emotions and words I think

Wishing, hoping, worrying all night

Life does not work with me despite

Morning will come soon enough

but night is here and I need some love

Clear, hard, cut and dry

A need for a love that is only mine

Reassurance every day

for nights like these to stay away
