Midnight

I am an intruder to my own body. It's like my flesh raped my soul, my spirit. I bled of sin, of spiritual death. My heart was a victim in its own house. It screamed. It shouted. It beat upon the drums of my ears, hoping I would hear. Silence. That's all I got. Silence. I pounded my way in and crept my way out. After the invasion, there was only a faint pulse. Iniquity tattooed my skin like it belonged. I scrubbed my bark but all that was left was red hell of the scarlet letter. I collasped and death took my place.
