Midnight
Midnight ramblings
Midnight messagings
Worrying about what’s to happen in the morning
Not being smart enough to sleep earlier
But somehow smart enough to know I should
Midnight thinkings
Midnight insanity
Going into over-detail or whining
Thinking about the universe and everything
Or about why I’m existing
Midnight unknowing
Midnight uncontrolling
What’s said at this time seems different in the morning
Knowing this but writing anyway
Hoping to write the night away
Hoping for tomorrow to come slower
Hoping for tomorrow to not come ever
Midnight thinkings
Midnight over thinking
Of the things I did last year
Last month
Even yesterday
Over thinking simple things I didn’t mean to do
As though they affected my entire life
Midnight hating
Midnight falling
For the forever pulling pull
Away from reality
And hating every thing I’ve ever done
Hating every battle gone un-won
Hating the fact that I take more space
Consume more supplies
Than I believe I could ever make up
That I could ever give back
Midnight needing
Midnight sleeping
Ha, just kidding
As if I’d ever sleep at this time
Midnight is when ideas flourish
Midnight is when over-thinking occurs
Midnight is when I appreciate, love who I have
And realize how much I’d love to forever talk to them
Midnight is when too long poems are written
When poems that will seem completely different later
Are written
Midnight is for the silence aloud
And for the mind to grow louder
Midnight is for the people who can’t sleep or are too stupid to sleep earlier
Midnight is where love and hate is found
Midnight is time for thinking
