Midnight Breathe

Midnight breathes black and gray The stars all twinkles While we rest Though I always stir awake For the midnight breathe The breeze that flows through my hair While most sleep I walk the halls of this darkened house Listening to the humming of the sleeping Only one stays wake with me Once the midnight breathe passes I find myself walking the darkened halls The creaking floors guiding my way To the bed on which takes me To a dream far, far away From the stars above the open From the serenity of the night From the midnight breathe That lay on this restless Earth.
