Midnight Butterfly

You came to me like contraband, A vivid splash of color In this pale monochrome land Infested by sickly vultures. I saw life blaze in your eyes Drawing me in like a pyro Dancing around a fire, Let me be your Romeo. Come into my arms, let's waltz Until we melt together, Scalding down these icy walls, We'll be as one forever- In a world of our design; I dream in your arms, breathless. The clock chimes twelve time, I feel you growing restless. I awake, you've pulled away, Hastily running for the doors; I'm left in disarray, Alone on the ballroom floor. Oh my midnight butterfly, This cannot be good-bye, I'll travel a thousand miles, I'll find you and make you mine! Let's fly away together, Leave behind our rags and riches, All we need is each other, We'll grant our own wishes. We'll live where the blushing skies Kiss the emerald valleys, There we can be together Melted together, eternally free.
