THE MIDNIGHT CALL

At the birth of a new day

 The siren goes wailing

Jolting me out of my reverie

Like a rat running at the sight of a cat

 Singly blowing the invisible light

To get hold of the midnight moon

Dragging it close to my ear

 To receive the pressing song

 Composed by a beautiful sylph

Forcing me to join in chorus

Uttering our love to the new day

And calling the lights to join in dance

Only to be sure it’s not a night dream

 But only a midnight call.
