Midnight Calls

Don’t hang up on me, I can hear you on the line

Just wait and let me talk, and then fine

I just want you to know what you do to me

I know it isn’t easy for you to see

You can make me smile and cry

And when it's over it's hard to say goodbye

You just don’t see it like I do

Don’t see this is hard for me too

Like I understand this better than you

Like you don’t have these feelings too

Am I supposed to lie?

A smile on my lips when all my eyes do is cry?

I’m sorry if it’s hard to show

But it’s so hard to see and so hard to know

Am I falling or have I lost my mind

It’s like I’m lost in the dark and you’re all I can find

Like you’re the candle in the window, the only light

But you’re like a bird, vanished in flight

When it comes to it, you will always flee

You can never stay

Not even for me
