The Midnight Cry

She knew she couldn’t love him

She knew to let him go

But loving him was easy

Her darling Romeo

With a voice so hauntingly beautiful

She could have anyone with ease

But the price they pay so dreadful

Those sailing the midnight seas

Then one day it happened

Her love, loved someone else.

He even vowed to marry her

No matter how her family felt.

The pain she felt within her

Touched her very soul

The day he made his vows

Her anger she could not control.

When she saw Juliette

For the very first time

From deep within her brokenness

She made her battlecry

Juliette followed her

And soon came Romeo

Three souls died that day

In pain in love and in sorrow.
