Midnight Escape
Highway, city lights,
Eighty five, dead of night.
Yet everything seems so alive.
Final stretch, turn the key
Into your arms, find relief.
Tangible yet unreal;
A dream that you can touch and feel.
So far away, but I pull you near.
Not a second to waste; I'm not welcome here.
But I found you. Were you still waiting?
I'm not afraid to tell you, to tell you how I feel.
Not afraid to validate
That all of
this
is
real.
