Midnight Yearning
On stormy nights, she hurried out
and let the water drench her skin,
she would dance for hours,
and bed on patches of wet grass
while laughing sighs of relief. Only I watched her.
I'd distantly follow with deviant anticipation,
She'd hum soft tunes and call to me.
"I am here" I'd quickly say, coming into view.
Wishing I could have more time with her.
I'd sit there, just watching,
adoring her pale skin, the delicate glow I created..
Sweetly her arms outstretch towards me,
she whispers "I'll miss you sincerely my love".
Gently I smiled to her but fretted not,
For tomorrow night we'd meet again.
