A MIDSUMMER'S ERSTWHILE DREAM

Once there was life within-without...

The Purple-Violet Squish.

Flower-power & liquid sunshine shower...

Outshining my every childhood wish.

Rainy day mushroom pillows floating by…

Lightning at night like fire from on high.

The déjà vu of a Big Eyes childs stare...

Peering thru cotton dandelions fair.

The extraordinary hues of clad passers-by...

The strange, yet fantastical tint to the sky.

Something adrift like a dune gone surreal...

Exquisite to the naked eye & feel.

A midsummers hazy erstwhile dream...

Life can never be again what it seemed.

A midsummers lazy, day for a daydream...

A sit-in, love-in, LOVE SUPREME.

The summer days that kept on growing longer...

As though time, in & of itself, stood still.

A feeling that just kept on growing stronger...

The more it up & blew right thru my will.

Wishful, magical, without a care thinking...

Wide-eyed wonder unblinking, then winking.

Open window wafting summer breezes...

In retrospect, the moment freezes.

A midsummers hazy erstwhile dream...

Life can never be again what it seemed.

A midsummers lazy, day for a daydream...

A sit-in, love-in, LOVE SUPREME.

The prayer & promise of “Have A Nice Day”...

That smiled at me as if to say...

Everything is gonnabe OK, come what may...

A midsummers hazy erstwhile dream...

Life can never be again what it seemed.

A midsummers lazy, day for a daydream...

A sit-in, love-in, LOVE SUPREME.
