Mightier than the Sword

The pen might be mightier than the sword,

However it is running out of ink,

As something is becoming more adored

That demands little compulsion to think.

Invited into our society,

This creature has usurped the way of life,

Razing and destroying all that precedes

And meeting the archaic pen with strife.

We all must gather our pens and papers

To protect the survival of our loved

Memoirs, fantasies, novels, bestsellers,

Of which technology is placed above.

Bring back the days where reading and writing

Was not a chore but rather exciting.
