Mighty

Your arms stretched wide

welcoming.

Towering.

Loving.

Just.

We breathe the air

you make.

From CO2 to O2

YOU keep us, the humans,

alive

along with all

of the other

species on this planet;

but we say nothing:

not "thank you",

not "Gracias",

not "Danke",

not "Merci",

Nothing.

It's as if

we don't

appreciate

YOU,

but in fact

we do.

We are tiny.

Only small plankton

 compared to the

Enormity

of your size,

and yet

you do not

 and never will

Forget us.

You are

the humble, the mighty,

the Tree.
