MIKE C
Happy birthday Mike C!
I think and talk about you often. Miss and love you brother!
He'd always greet me with..."IS THAT STEVIE MAC!?"
He'd give you the shirt off his back.
A voice like a sonic boom.
Loudest man in any room.
He was bright and very, very smart.
He cared about people, and he had a big heart.
Strong as an ox and big like a bear.
When it came to fighting he had no fear.
For me, I don’t think I’d be alive
If I worked with Mike before 1975.
His mood could change, his temper was quick.
But we knew he meant well and we knew he was sick.
Mike and I squabbled like we’d been married for years
The day he left brought me to tears
We were never wrong and always right
We’d bitch at each other but never fight
Lucky for me he gave me a pass
Instead of biting his lip and kicking my ass
A generous man with a great big laugh.
If he had something you would get half.
He could lift inhuman amounts of weight.
More amazing was the way he ate!
A vat of pasta gone in a breeze.
Pulled the cap off the Parmesan cheese.
Worked like a mule and cracked the whip.
Pity for you if you gave him some lip!
Lots of pride and never wrong
His love for Danielle was very strong
A slap on the back, your hand he would shake.
Mike was sincere, Mike was not fake.
A man’s man
the salt of the earth.
I am a better person because of his birth.
ALWAYS the first to pick up the tab.
It was just his nature
And it’s what made him feel glad.
He carried pain he wouldn’t express.
He loved his God and did his best.
He taught me things I will never forget
He was open and warm the day we met.
He's a thought away, he hasn't gone far.
"MAC, KICK OFF THAT SAND BEFORE YOU GET IN MY CAR!"
Mike was liked and Mike was loved.
And now he lives up above.
It's crystal clear and concise.
Big Mike is with God in paradise!
