A Military Kind of Love

Being without you is hard to bear

Six months. What will I do?

Writing letters day and night

Hoping August is coming soon.

Never ever do you leave my mind

I sit hopelessly for a word

But I would not change a single thing

Even if this life in not preferred.

You risk your life for all of us

You are learning the meaning of sacrifice

I cannot thank you far enough

For being the one to pay the price.

You may think this is silly

But one day you will see

That I am so thankful

To call you my Marine
