Millenials In Suburbia

Pants sag, nails click against keyboards On the computer, a video awaits an audience Hastag this, hastag that Symbols of the 21st century. You are lazy, dependent, narcissistic, moochers! They say with their plastic faces, and $500 purses. Meanwhile, outside Suburbia a single mother works two jobs to feed her children Another inner city kid is shot down by a lost soul with access to weapons of war Outside of Suburbia a soilder struggles with the boundries between reality, and fantasy In the "Holy Land" neighbors fight each other like wild beast Outside of Suburbia the earth is fighting back to cleanse itself of those who wish to deplet it's resources It's a natural occurence someone yells, 97% of climate scientist can't be wrong another screams back. Back inside Suburbia pants sag, nails click against keyboards On the computer, a video awaits an audience Hastag this, hastag that Symbols of the 21st century. If a civilization falls outside the fortified steel fences of Suburbia, but no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?
