A million dollar view

It’s three in the morning, and you’re awake.

Not entirely sure if you ever sleep,

As we lay down to rest

your eyes pierce me as they always do.

Their soft lights piercing me,

like arrows from a sleepless bow.

Through me your people whisper,

As daylight comes so do their voices.

Through the riotous rumble of waking life

pierce those eyes.

As a widow watching for her moment,

all your eyes fall on me.

The deafening silence floods the room

as your blinding stare grows wilder.

The muderer in your eyes

are only matched by their shining serenity.

Webs of life, sprawl through her veins.

Pulsing, slowing as life finds me

alone at seven past three

in the morning.
