A Million Lights

A Million Lights.

Another night passes me

A shadow in the light

There to make them dance

There to make them laugh, to make them sing

More meanings overlooked

More thoughts thrown to the flames

A waste of emotion for those who don’t care

A song from me, a song for her

Ignored as the fire crackles on

Guitar strings plucked

Words sang

Flutes played

Is all they hear

Another memory shown to all

Another want seen as small

All my words

All my thoughts

Every note I pluck

Every song I play

Tossed to the night

Up from the flames

Like a million lost fights

A million desired sights

A million lights
