At the Mills

My fake smile

makes my cheeks hurt.

Yes, that’s a new style.

Ow-my feet yell on the tile

ugh this playlist is dirt

my fake smile.

Gloomy faces gaze meanwhile,

excited shoppers walk alert.

Yes, that’s a new style.

Pictures hung throughout the aisle

the card was declined, I assert

my fake smile

The people all around, futile

red flags we must divert.

yes that’s a new style

The products are so beguile,

an arm and a leg for a shirt.

My fake smile

yes, that’s a new style
