Mimou

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I didn't know what to do.

I ran in the other direction

Towards an unknown destination or two.

I came upon my grandfther

Sitting under a tree,

Looking up at the sky,

As if he was waiting for me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked,

"Are you waiting here for me?

I haven't seen you in so long,

Why are you here under this tree?"

"I'm here for you," he said,

"Don't you ever stray.

I'll always be watching over you,

Whether close or far away.

You'll never be alone

As long as you believe in me,

I'll always be here for you,

And that's a guarantee.

Don't you ever forget about me,

And I'll never forget about you,

We'll always have each other

And our memories to get us through.

Now don't you ever forget

I love you with all my heart,

As long as you remember that,

We'll never be apart."
