The Mind
Our minds our all unique,
Our brains are squishy and pink.
And on the outside,
We are all the same;
but on the inside,
Opinions fly down like pouring rain.
Opinions flying everywhere,
They fall down like a broken chair.
But these opinions scream in a different voice,
It sounds so unfamiliar,
so scratchy and horse.
These are not your words,
Just repeats of things you've heard.
Nothing is your own,
we are all clones.
What happened when we could think for ourselves?
If you didn't like something you spoke up and yelled,
You had political views,
You didn't like all the popular bands.
You never wanted to wear shoes,
You'd rather lay down by the beach in the sand,
Staring at the stars thinking of what the world could be,
Oh if only the world could think just like me.
