Mind?


I look in the mirror

I see a blank face

Two dark tired eyes

Boom! 

The shell drops in his chest

Crash.

The doc said he wasn’t gonna make i-

Stop. 


 

He’s already gone.

 

1 month. 

2,000 innocent 

The government did this

We all pay no mind. 



 

No!

We can’t let you in

Take that rag off your head!

Speak English you pig!

This is the home of the brave and the free

But we’ll shoot you if you even think abou-


 

Help me! Please help me!

They took my family

Snatched my father from my arms

They laugh

“Uyghur should all -”



 

Die! 

Die!

Kill!

Die. 

Death to all

 We don’t mind. 

 

I look in the mirror. 

A blank face

Two dark tired eyes

Refusing to let it all stand. 


 

3 billion people in the world live in poverty.

The Syrian government kill their own children

America is free- if your skin is lighter than mine

And there is a genocide in China against all Muslims. 

 

I get up every day because I mind- 



 

When will you?
