Mind

Whats writing but scribbles on paper What gives the lines and curves we write meaning What gives them the power to make us feel emotions Crying so hard we need the whole box of Kleenex Laughing so hard we can't breathe It is the mind My mind lured me towards poetry The hybrid of a song and a story comes poetry Able to let our imaginations run free while we dance to each stanza We write poetry to give others the gift of feeling of what we feel Seeing what see touching what we touch A form of art that paints the colors in the mind
