Mind, Body and Soul

Body, Mind and Soul

‘Because I love you.’

 Love is no toy.

It lies not within the body of a boy.

It’s an idea from the mind.

Detrimental to the soul with time.

My love is no toy.

Funny how a relationship is the connection between two,

Yet the only one trying happens to be you.

Twirling at the feet of an antagonizing victim,

Widening the range of an everlasting wisdom.

That is not love.

Love is dancing together to a song both our hearts play.

Love is working together,

Supporting each other in every way.

Love is being a hero in each other’s story.

No words needed to express our allegory.

Love is talking to me and not telling me to go away.

I don’t want to beg anymore to make you stay.

Love is happiness, trust and communication.

It’s not a disease that requires immunization.

What we had was not love.

Ignorance is like a fool’s elixir,

Blinding them from the bigger picture.

We were both fools in this game,

But our reasons were not the same.

You saw what you wanted to see.

I danced at the feet of a love-devouring beast.

And when you left I was far from whole.

What you have broken was my mind, body and soul.
