The Mind On Fire

My mind aches to be healed

But how when I have done everything i can

I read the books, took the meds, saved myself

And yet it comes back

Slinking back into my mind

At first it’s just random thoughts

But now its a numbness that I cannot control

It’s getting to me to my mind

How am I supposed to survive

To live is to survive

But how can I survive with this darkness in my mind

It curls around every crack of light

Slowly taking over until there is no more

Until I am left empty

Only with darkness inside
