Mind full of emotions
While some emotions run wild,
Others stay in tune and mild,
While some hold pain,
Others hold memories that fade in vain,
Some hold anger and frustration,
Others confuse me and leave me without concentration.
Some conflict with each other,
While others relate with one another,
But my emotions stay bottled up,
In a bottle that will never pop.
This allows me to steer clear of frustration,
It also allows me to steer clear of pain,
So I can find the true me that lurks within,
The true me that lives, laughs, and loves in between,
That sees life as a beach,
And myself as a kid playing in the sand,
Whether my emotions are wild and mild,
They always refuse to be defiled,
By outsiders with opinions and thoughts,
Whose comments and statements leave me in daze and sought.
I thank God for a mind like mine,
A mind that doesn’t judge or tease,
One that can control its tongue,
One that can relate with others and get along.
