The Mind of Man
The man who travels, knows the score.
The man who sits alone, says, what more?
The man who fights, wishes for peace.
And the man in peace, longs for war.
The grass is greener, the sun shines brighter
Away, above, but never near here.
What the man wishes, to grasp it, to hold it,
But he doesn't realize that only he can bring it.
We cannot achieve; we can only find.
We cannot succeed; we can only realize.
That achievements were here, we just had to see.
That success was waitng, we just had to draw near.
If I could change one thing about Man
it would be for him to see, to know, understand.
Know suffering to know love,
Know loss to know appreciation.
To reach and to hold, gather us all in
and unite us together, whole, as one nation.
What would I change?
One thing, just one?
I would change Man,
His mind,
to be one.
