Mind for Man
Tell me, how differently would the world spin
If we went back to where we begin
and find the first one who had the gall to say
that being is woman is being a sin.
It could have been a man,
scared of what she might become,
or a woman,
who would rather be numb
than face her own strengths.
But it doesn't really matter.
The first on to get knocked down, beaten
told that her gifts only weakened
given labels she didn't want and her titles taken,
her confidence utterly shaken.
Her position made patronizing,
her voice silenced,
until all that was left,
was a ticking time bomb.
Tell me, if you can,
what she could have achieved,
if she hadn't been told,
that a mind was for man.
