The mind is a lovely thing indeed

it keeps us going and it makes us heed

the blaring warnings around our head

that you'd better think of or you'll end up dead

so what do you think of thinking all day?

you'll be driven mad by thinking that way

or maybe you'll realize something so odd

that people don't think, and their mind is like sod

but even the sod, of soil and grass

can be put together to make something with class

a beautiful lawn for the home buyer's eyes

the one who had vision to see through the lies

but what is vision without a mind to perceive?

two eyeballs that gaze but a soul so naive
