A Mind at Work
Poetry, empowering others to speak from their mind,
The mind embarks on some sort of journey to find itself
Thinking of questions about
what if?
and why are?
and if this is this
then this by far is…
Nonsense and foolery, that leads to what seems to the ordinary eye like random words scribbled down
on some empty space
But in place of this empty space that this ordinary eye cannot see right in front of their face is you,
It’s you,
These random words that go beyond this being’s comprehension is you,
It is your mind,
Your heart, that you are trying to embrace,
Words,
Take the place of the thoughts and provoke feelings that cannot be expressed in another way
As you try to find your way, like a grown man casually walking down the street
Exploring the confines of your mind that intertwine to combine
like brush strokes on a work of art
Witness the scribbles
Turn into riddles, that puzzle the very essence of the soul
Words,
On a page that in due time, they find unexpressed emotion open like flood gates
on an awaiting city
Forgetting, that they are just words that we write on a blank page, but to us they are more than that
These words when actually fueled with emotion have power
To tell stories and express things that have not been told, and as they unfold, unravel
Traveling, to places of the unknown
We experience,
The untouched virgin emotion that we hide from the world’s commotion
And ourselves
Our minds rattle by the unruly earthquakes
that are brought forth from the deep recesses of our minds
In this search, we find our mind,
waiting
to be found and made into something profound, something that astounds even ourselves
This wealth of knowledge that flows through our mentality, altering the fabrics of reality
And giving flight to thought, making things, all things possible,
Is your mind,
It’s your mind, playing with the lines of poetry
