Mindful Meeting

Is everyone here?

Everyone present?

Glad to see familiar faces.

Nice to see you again Anger,

You seem to show up to most meetings.

And I see you Sadness,

Perfect attendance as always.

I see you brought your friend Grief.

I think I met you before once or twice.

I see happiness failed to show again.

As always.

Although, Humor showed up

Sitting right next to Sadness.

The best of friends, aren’t they?

Oh, and my favorite guest has arrived,

Jealousy.

Always sitting at the front row.

Watching all.

Never budging.

Never flinching.

It’s always a pleasure to see you again.

Oh, and I guess Sarcasm has showed up as well.

Always nice to have you around.

And now that everyone is here,

Let’s get started.
