Mindless Haze

Sitting and waiting, all alone in the night.
Watching lucid memories flash through sight.
Listening to lost screams and broken whispers.
Gasping for breath in poisoned, acidic air.
Searching for light in the forgotten land.
Dreaming of redemption, all gone from a puff.
Dropping the razor-sharp point, empty of hell.
Sitting and screaming, abandoned by the needle.
