Mine Mind.

I'm alone again - or so it would seem. But what people don't realize when they look at me Is that I am never alone because you are always in my mind. Now it seems to happen all the time. Without expectation - you enter my thoughts and mind And a rush of memories from that long ago time Come flooding in to this once peaceful heart of mine. And I'm still waiting for God to send me a sign. A sign of progress, peace, or purpose But none of those are likely to show. My sentences become shorter now. As do my days of sorrow and doubt. It's strange to me that you're the only inspiration For the poetry that comes out of this pen. Sometimes I wonder if your purpose Was to leave me heart broken. Because a broken heart inspires so much life - And a broken heart is what is mine.
