Minor Setback, Major Comeback
I know God's watching, but now I wonder if there are others too
Are some ancestors there, peeking in on what I do?
How would they view my life if they happened to be in my shoes?
Only saying that cuz lately I can't seem to get anything right
Major crash left my life out of balance, and the line is fine
What would their reaction be to something I view as a disastrous crime,
Cuz it robbed me of a normal path, now forcing me to crawl in grime
Lived their lives way more energetic and eclectic than mine
Bet they feel shame that stings like antiseptic to the mind
Bet they would kill to be in a place like I am at this time
Where you can sit back, relax/reflect, and write a rhyme
Still, no one's perfect; did they have times where they didn't feel worth it?
I had one chance to advance and I blew it, barely rehearsed it
Almost certain they had a similar situation where life straight up cursed them
But they crafted an escape before it could seriously hurt them
Currently working on a route that I can dive through, possibly come out brand new
This was a one time ordeal, for real, I have no excuse
Just needed a bit to gather my thoughts and mentally regroup
To those looking down right now, y'all know how we do
Our mental toughness is undefeated, Mayweather on pay-per-view
Next time I blow it'll be a celebration, with some gas and fumes
Can't forget to include the Father (though it's not June)
Keep me in prayer, and promise I'll see you there soon
Like Peter Pan and the kids sad to be returning to their rooms
Back full circle thematically to the start of the tune
