A Miracle

A Miracle

Getting a call from my mother, crying

With sirens in the background

Being miles away from home and not being able to do a thing to help

Seven tumors forming on the brain and stage 4-lung cancer

The possibility of not surviving any longer than a month

Several days in the hospital

Not remembering who anyone was

Tears falling down her face when she heard us talking about the cancer.

Wanting to give up because she knew it was too bad

Chemo treatments, tons of pills, tons of therapy and doctor appointments

The tumors decreased 50%

Chemo decreased the lung cancer

Therapy is helping her get back on track

Giving up was not an option for her

My Nana is a fighter

God gave my family a miracle

This poem is about my Nana who has seven tumors on her brain and lung cancer. She is fighting to get back to the old her. She wanted to give up, but she knew it was not her time to go and she still has a lot to see in her life still she kept fighting. I believe she will fight and survive this horrible disease because she is the most strong hardest person I know and I know she will not give up.
