The Mirror

My thighs bother me.

My eyes bother me.

The flubber around me makes me cringe.

The way I treat myself

           and worship others,

always makes me flinch.

I have an image of who I am

And another of who I want to be.

They don't always match up

these two conflicting views:

The monster in the mirror and the lady in the world.

But maybe

       Maybe one day

                One day

The one in my mind

and the one in the mirror

will reflect each other infinitely.
