Mirror

Emptiness is a pitch black mirror

that hangs in front of me every morning.

No matter how wide I open my eyes,

darkness takes form around the blank wall.

Sometimes, at night I look into the mirror,

wondering if anyone can see me.

Is it too dark for the rest of the world?

Is everyone actually as happy as they

say or are we all just

lost in a pitch black mirror
