Mirror

You stand there.

Staring.

Looking a yourslf.

Glaing.

Mocking you

Mocking all those insecurities

You try and chase aay.

All those imperfections

That chase you day by day

Weighing you down.

Acne stuck on pale skin

Braces molded on crooked teeth

Glasses covering dull eyes

I stand there staring.

Looking at you,

All your perfection,

Flawless porcelain physique

White dazzling pearls

Radiant iris

You stand there staring.

You walk away-

Defeated.

I stand there admiring.

Watching-

Your baby blue eyes

Light up when you smile

Listening-

To the warm sound of your laugh

Feeling-

Your kindness towards others

I stand there,

Admiring.
