The Mirror

I look in the mirror

Not sure what I see,

Not sure if it's me.

I don't know who I am.

I don't know what I can be.

Nothing makes sense to anyone

Why I do what I do.

It's so obvious.

I guess I've shield it for too long,

Smiling, laughing, acting strong.

If they only knew

I was so angry, I was so hurt

If only they knew how lost and scared I was

A lost girl, all alone

With only faith to keep her strong.

Wiping the tears and smilng as if nothing is wrong.

That was the old me.

The way I used to think.

I look in the mirror

And now what I see

A young women finding her way.

Setting my path to dominate.

I will inspire and invigorate.

And show the despairing another way

My past will only fuel me

for the extraordinary deeds ahead

When all that I have overcome

Is used to an advanatage

That mirrior will be reflecting me.
