mirror
I look in the mirror glancing upon my hips and my lust filled curves the shape of my lips and the shine in my blonde long hair. I start to get undressed and I take a long hard look analyzing everything the boys lust for. The caramel tinted skin my scent of coconut and shea butter. I'm not blind I’m aware of what I have. It's my body after all. However I also see so much more. And I ponder why you don't? Why do I feel like nothing more than an item or a subject? I see myself standing there lifeless in front of this smudged up mirror and I absolutely despise what I see not because of who I am but how what I have to offer is simply dumbed down to nothing. I get closer and look into my chestnut colored eyes and stare until I break down into tears. I step back and break the mirror into a hundred little pieces and as they lay scattered on the floor I examine how it's exactly how I feel.
