Mirror

I look in the mirror,

And ask

Why don’t I look like the pretty girls

You know, like the skinny ones

With the long legs

And the cinched in waist

And the long blonde hair

And the big blue eyes?

Because,

All I see when my image looks back

Is an average girl

You know, like the one that is a little overweight

With the short legs

And a muffin-top waist

And mid-length brown hair

And small brown eyes.
