The Mirror

Stand before me, pretty little slave,

The atrocity I reflect will make your soul cave.

I require only a twist of the light,

For you to kneel before me, worrying up the night.

I drink up your mercy while you suck the shame in.

Shrink thinner and thinner, but never quite thin.

Ugly little dame, you’ll never match up,

To the perception of virtue your eyes have made up.

Through friends adorn you with grace and appease.

I am the one who helps watch what you eat.

Scrawny little maid, with sunken in skin.

I’d be so lonely without ransom of your confidence.

Break me if you will but only then you’ll truly glimpse

The shattered spirit torn apart through my grimace.
