Mirror
I look in the mirror and what do I see?
Deep green eyes I see
Soft edges of the face I see
Her innocent lips tainted with sin
I reach out to her.
She reaches.
Who is this woman?
Empty she seems
I know not of her past
I reach out to her.
She reaches.
Closer than ever they come
She is...
Stuck.
Trapped.
Alone.
Worlds separate us,
Yet we are one in the same.
She screams.
I reach.
Reaching
Reaching...
I can't save her
She is long gone.
Always knowing.
Her eyes on fire
Screams call my name
Hands trembling.
Hearts racing.
Sweat dripping.
MAN.
HE reaches.
she pulls.
Locked in time, forever.
Always remaining
Never leaving.
Frantically pounding.
Never escaping.
Always remaining.
Never leaving.
MAN lurks.
MAN takes.
MAN gets.
Laughter seeps through
Taking hold of all I ever knew.
Who do I see?
I see her.
Reaching.
Alone.
Tainted.
Remaining.
MAN.
